FITE Travel Grants for DDW 2026
For Fellows and Allied Healthcare Professionals
The Foundation for Interventional & Therapeutic Endoscopy (FITE) is pleased to announce the FITE Travel Grants for Digestive Disease Week (DDW) 2026, to be held in Chicago, Illinois.
The FITE Executive Board’s Chair and Vice-Chair invite applications from fellows and allied healthcare professionals (AHPs) who will be presenting high-quality research at DDW 2026. A total of five travel grants will be awarded.
We encourage program directors, mentors, and colleagues to share this opportunity with eligible 4th year fellows, nurses, physician assistants, research coordinators, and other allied healthcare professionals involved in gastrointestinal endoscopy research.

Types of Grants
FITE will award five travel grants, each valued at $500.
Gold Award – 4th Year Fellows
- Three (3) awards
- $500 each
- Eligibility limited to 4th-year fellows
Gold Award – Open Category
- One (1) award
- $500
- Open to fellows and allied healthcare professionals
Gold Award – Allied Healthcare Professionals (AHP) – Allied Healthcare Professionals (AHPs) include non-physician healthcare professionals involved in clinical care, research, or procedural support in gastrointestinal endoscopy. Examples include nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, endoscopy technicians, clinical research coordinators, research nurses, and other healthcare professionals involved in GI endoscopy practice or research.

- Eligibility limited to allied healthcare professionals, including:
- Nurses
- Physician Assistants
- Research Coordinators
- Other allied clinical or research staff
Grant Submission Criteria
Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident (green card holder)
- Must be the presenting author of an abstract accepted for oral presentation at DDW 2026
- Abstract must relate to interventional or therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopy
- Poster presentations are not eligible
- Eligible study types include:
- Phase II–IV clinical studies
- Retrospective studies
- Prospective studies
- Other outstanding or innovative studies selected by DDW for oral presentation in a topic or research forum
- Must attend DDW 2026 and present the abstract in person at the scheduled time and date
- Applicants must be FITE members or become members prior to the award date (May 1, 2026)
- Applicants for the 4th Year Fellow Gold Award must be:
- Currently enrolled in a 4th year fellowship training program, or
- Beginning their 4th year of fellowship training
- Only one abstract submission per applicant will be considered for the travel grant

- Award Announcement: May 1, 2026
